Formatting details.
HOW TO FORMAT MEDIA AND TEXTS WITHIN YOUR WRITING: Use italic font for the titles of films, and state the name of the director, date and running time after the title as inline citation when discussing these films.
Example: Grizzly Man (2005, 118 min) directed by Werner Herzog.
For quotes from our readings use in-line citation with quotation marks followed by parentheses and page numbers, rather than paraphrasing.
Example of how to present your quotation from the reading is as follows: “your quotation from the reading will go between quotation marks and will be followed by author’s name and page number from the book.” (Author name, pp. 43-46).
If using Kindle you may leave page numbers blank, just put author’s name in parentheses.
