1.Introduction—explain your interest in this topic, explain your general research question or thesis.
2. Literature review—use this section wisely to both explain past work in the area of study in which you have situated your project, and review what is already “known” about your topic area, as well as critique what has come before your study.
3. At the end of the lit-review, restate your research questions and add probes or hypotheses if you are doing a quantitative or mixed methods study.
4. Include a methods section explaining how you will conduct your study.
5.Conclude with expectations (contribution, outcomes, etc.)—these will differ a great deal depending on the type of study.
