Will the Constitution hold up with domestic and foreign affairs? Use information from Foner as a basis and then discuss the chapter primary sources and essays in the linked chapter. Problems at home and abroad will cause a shift in the parties, how does this happen and what were the results? Consider threats of War, Revolution in the Caribbean, Presidencies and social concerns that come from the new powers-both state and federal.
