Assessment task 3: Development, précis and submission of final essay/project

Weight: 45%
Task: This task has three key elements:
1. the selection of a research topic appropriate both to the broad course subject and to the students
individual interests;
2. ensuring that the research methods and directions are progressing in the best possible manner;
and
3. testing the students ability to express cogently the aims and the findings of their research, either
in text or multi-modal formats.
Length: 3000 words or equivalent (audiovisual projects should have short 500 word attached exegesis).
Due: Week 4 topic and proposed format; Week 7- 1 page dot point outline; Week 11 final project via
TurnItIn or other agreed mode if not in text format (with 500 word exegesis).
