Give a visual analysis of the artworks selected from the museum.

1-Physical description – What does it look like. What is the medium, format, texture,
color scheme, type of perspective used, technique, etc. and describe the artwork
with as many adjectives as you can. Take good notes while at the museum!!

2-What is the content? i.e. what is the artist trying to convey (humor, pain, social
commentary) How do YOU feel about this?

3-Give the works context. STYLE- Research will give you information on the style and
school of art:
If the artwork is a 19th Century landscape by, say Thomas Moran, introduce the
fundamental ideas about the style of the artist, the historic period and the school
of art associated with the artist. Find a related artist and show work by them in
your presentation.

4-If the artwork is glass or ceramic, basic information such as blown or cast glass,
(additional technical information is a plus, such as blown glass, carved and sandblasted; gurative or abstract; for ceramic, thrown or constructed, use of glazes or
textures.
