Using the color copy of a painting provided (See Image List PDF and then go to the Images for Assignment 2 listed below and choose ONE image), write a three page analysis of form and content of your chosen work of art. Your paper will consist of 6 sections: one paragraph each section, you may combine section 1. and 2 for easier writing. You do not need to include a copy of the image in your paper. For help see the course video Assignment 2 Notes.1 Description: The first is a description of the work using only the elements as discussed in class. Use the list posted last week of the elements as a reference for the type of questions you should be answering for the description. Discuss all elements even if they appear not to be present in the work, for example: The element of line is not important to this work. Try to now combine these elements into one or two sentences: The strong colors and diagonal movement in the shapes makes the space seem crowded and chaotic (I am citing the Franz Marc painting)2 Analysis: For the analysis segment, use the ideas presented in our videos and your own perceptions, combined with evidence from the elements, to analyze your response to the work. Write one paragraph (minimum) for your analysis. There is no specific right answer for the analysis, just make sure you base your ideas on what is visually present according to the elements as discussed in class. (For example: The diagonal, swirling composition, with figures appearing and then disappearing, make one feel lost in the space Do not use the images, figures, subject or content too much but make sure you combine these with the visual qualities of the work.3 Meaning: In your next paragraph, you may reference the subject of the work to determine the meaning. If this is hard to get from looking at the piece, you may now do some research to find what this work is about. What is this painting of? Does it have some symbolic/religious or other meaning or is it a personal interpretation of something? You will then write a paragraph explaining to the viewer what this work is about. For example, you will need to cite the story of the Tower of Babel for one of the paintings. I have chosen work that I KNOW there is information available about, so you should be able to find some good sources. In fact I have included some links below each image to help you get started.4 Context: Finally, you get to do a little more research by looking up information about the following. Here is where you will need to research even more. Some of this information may not be specific to this work, but rather about the artist, the time period, the style of work, culture or other things that help explain this work. Write a brief paragraph placing the work in its context: make sure you include any of the above that are relevant to this work. In this case you will definitely need to do some research: some of it above and beyond the range of this exact artwork.5 Process Statement: Please add a small statement about the process you went through above and how, if, and in what way it has changed your way of looking at this piece.6 Sources: Give web addresses, URLs, Book titles and authors for all your sources for number 3-4. Any readable format is ok!

In Module 2, you discussed one particular source that added to your knowledge or surprised you. Now that you have researched all of your sources, summarize for your classmates what you have learned from working on your capstone project.
THE QUESTION ABOVE IS JUST A GUIDE FOR THE 2 POST . SO YOU CAN HAVE AN IDEA WHAT ARE THEY TAKING ABOUT.
When starting this capstone project, on conflict resolution in public schools, I had no idea how much I would learn. Here is a snap shot of what I learned from all of my resources.
Conflict is an everyday occurrence for students in k-12, if resolved it can lead to advanced social and relational skills, as well as, a positive school climate which enables advanced learning. However, if conflict is not resolved correctly it will lead to a deterioration of the school’s environment and the student’s future. In this day and age students generally are not being trained in good conflict resolution/social skills from their families or culture. When attending school, they are untrained in key skills however these skills can be taught. Conflict resolution programs have specifically been developed in schools all around the United States over the past five decades. The oldest and most popular pattern for the programs is a peer mediation model. This involves training students to work out the conflicts of their peers. This model can be either a whole-school program or a curriculum based program. In order for this program to be most effective it needs to be a whole-school program. This takes secure funding as well as the support and participation of all school administration, teachers, and faculty. The program involves training for students, teachers, faculty, administration, and parents. Integrated into the whole school, conflict resolution gets practiced everywhere. Training involves, team activities, role playing, as well as, teaching and work books. The effects of these programs have been studied many times in many different schools. The results have overwhelmingly concluded conflict resolution programs make a positive impact on students and schools. They give students the skills they need giving them more time to learn, leaving less conflict to be resolved by teacher who can focus on teaching. There is less violence and needed discipline, as well as better grades and school atmosphere. Conflict will occur every day in every school, however if handled with a conflict resolution program it will be turned into an opportunity to learn and grow in some of the most important ways.
WRITE A NICE COMMENT ABOUT THIS POST AND LABEL Q1

I have learned quite a few things through my research in switching from dairy farming to agritourism. I ended up finding numerous guides online from agriculture extension agencies, but the amount of scholarly research articles were scarce to none. The one very important thing that I did learn is this process is a personal one and the outcome depends on what steps are followed.
The transition is a process. The farmer needs to decide whether agritourism will be right for them and their family. Once the decision is yes, they need to decide if they will do this as their main income or supplementing their main income with this. The farmers then need to look at the issues that they could possible face. Finally, they must chose what type of agritourism business they will get into. This is just the start.
The next steps are to be to set a plan and set up marketing. Farmers need to look at regulations of what they can and can not do(i.e zoning). The cost-benefit analysis of this endeavor will be depending on what the farmer wants to accomplish. There are several resources that can be used during this transition and a huge one is agriculture extension. In fact, it has been a great resource for this project. Farmers can be guided by agriculture extension agents in each step of this process.
