Define an Array and why you would use one. Provide an example that is not from the text. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings.

2.Character Arrays

Chapter 7 continues the discussion of arrays. Arrays include multiple data types and can include characters. Understanding that you can use characters in an array, give an example of how you would use a character array and what data could be stored in this array. See page 351 for an example.

Design and implement your own simple class to represent any household item of your choice (toaster, fan, hair dryer, piano …) Your class should have a constructor, one additional method and at least one member variable (e.g. boolean isOn to turn the item on or off). Be sure you demonstrate your class works properly by constructing an instance of it and calling your method.
