Consider Gurov’s actions in Chekhov’s story, “The Lady with the Dog” in light of the essay “We have No Right To Happiness” by C.S. Lewis. Using C.S Lewis’s essay and one other piece of relevant literary criticism devoted to Chekhov’s story, argue for or against the moral rightness of Gurov’s, and only Gurov’s actions in the story.
