After reading the them, please write a 1,100 word essay addressing the four questions below (Each around 250 words).

Q1. ApproTEC is an unusual sort of company. How would you describe it? Is it a manufacturing company? An R&D company? What business is it in? (Social change? Poverty alleviation? Enterprise creation?) What are Moon and Fisher? (Technology entrepreneurs? Social entrepreneurs? Running a charitable NGO?). Do these sorts of questions really matter?

Q2. Of the six options given by Nick Moon when explaining his three-year development plan, as shown on case pages 13 and 14, which items would you focus on if you had unrestricted money of $750,000 only? What if you had $1.5 million only?

Q3. What value has ApproTEC created and for whom? (Note: there are facts in the case that allow to you put a dollar figure on this question.) How well is it accomplishing its stated mission?

Q4. What should ApproTEC’s strategic thrust be at the end of the case, i.e., which products should it be focusing the most attention on going forward? (See pages 8, 9, bottom of 11, top of 12). Do you have any other strategic recommendations for ApproTEC going forward?
