In any given language, there are always changes going on. In this response, please speculate about one or more changes that you think might happen in English in the next 50-150 years, based on current trends. This can be a change in any aspect from phonetics all the way to semantics.

You are being asked to speculate. We are looking for creative, original thinking.

It’s ok to use outside sources to learn about possible future changes, but the response should be your words and ideas.

If you want a very good grade, avoid the topic you find on a blog post in the top 10 results after searching “future changes in English”. Many people will write about that.

Pick something that is meaningful enough to talk about for 200 words, with no useless filler sentences (i.e., it should not start like this “English is a language spoken in many countries…”).
