For this paper, you can choose any two cultural groups that we have discussed in class (or one(s) we did not discuss, if you wish to do a little extra research),
(week 1 : The Anthropological, Week 2: Language and Communication, Week 3:
Marriage and Family, Week 4: Law and Politics, Week 5: The World Economy, Week 6: Religion.)

Perspective and depict a scene (e.g., in comic book form, as dialogue in a play, in poetry, through a short video, and so on) in which the two groups must resolve a dilemma resulting from cultural misunderstanding. You can use the cultural misunderstandings we discuss in class to begin brainstorming how conflict occurs/might be avoided, but the actual scenario you create must be your original idea.

I will grade these primarily on how well you clearly reference and integrate course discussions/questions and the anthropological perspective that we discuss throughout the course into the creation and resolution of the scenario. Given the wide variety of artistic interpretations possible, I will permit a broader range for page length/running time. For all written pieces, I recommend a minimum of 4-5 pages and a maximum of 10 pages worth of (double-spaced) dialogue (using 12 point, Times New Roman font) or comic book panels. For any audio/video submissions, aim for 5-10 minutes running time. This project will be due June 24th by 5pm, the Friday during the week of our final class. You may turn them in through our Elearning course dropbox or via email. Let me know if your project’s formatting/file size requires an in-person submission.
