Conduct an analysis of Genesis 6-9 Noah and the Flood and discuss the general plot of this selection.  Does it align with your general knowledge of Genesis in the Bible in regard to the story of Noah’s Ark and the animals that were placed on the Ark?
Moreover, discuss the tone, style, and biblical imagery of this selection and state how these elements help to capture the essence of the story as a whole.  Cite specific lines from the text to support your analysis and interpretations.
Option 2: Critical Analysis of Francis Petrarch’s Poems (Pgs. 1621 – 1624)
Francis Petrarch was known as a precursor to the Renaissance period.  He dedicated himself to the recovery of classical learning.  His 366 poems focused on his excessive love and dedication to a woman named Laura.  Analyze the sonnets on pages (1621-1624).
Discuss the general plot of action taking place in each sonnet as well as any symbolism and imagery presented that illuminates Petrarch’s intensive desire for Laura.  Moreover, what seems to be the underlying message of each sonnet?  Cite lines from the text to support your analysis.
Option 3: Critical Response on the Canterbury Tales – “The Wife of Bath’s Prologue and Tale” (Pgs. 1221 – 1249)
Read and analyze, “The Wife of Bath’s Prologue and Tale.”  Discuss how one or more themes including courtly love, Christianity, chivalry, and humor are presented in this work.  How is the particular theme(s) presented in the tale and what is the underlying message or morale that is being presented to the reader?
Also, discuss how the tale mirrors ideas of love, social and economic status, as well as power in this current 21st century.  Cite specific lines, symbols presented in the tale, as well as imagery that will strongly support your analysis and illuminate your selected theme(s) most effectively.
