“An insight into the international business activities of (Company X)”

Group assessment (50% of total marks)

Group poster presentation: 15 minutes

Deadline: 3rd December 2015

Your group will develop a case study and poster presentation. You can choose any business with substantial international activities. You may find some interesting ideas at: http://fortune.com/global500/ out of which you will need as a group to choose one to focus on.
The poster should give: “An insight into the international business activities of (Company X)”.
This brief is deliberately broad to encourage creativity, but realism is essential. You should think about the key aspects and processes of international business by looking again at the themes covered in the course. Reflect on what makes your chosen company distinctive in terms of international business. You should consider what your company does well in terms of international business and what could be improved. Marks will be awarded for: company analysis, up to date research, the correct use of concepts and for presentation. The poster is limited to a single PowerPoint slide and should be presented succinctly and professionally in an attractive style.
A copy of the PowerPoint slide containing your poster should be sent (via email) to your workshop tutor by 5pm Wednesday 3rd December. In your email please ensure that you include the names of all team members and your workshop session. Failure to send a copy of your poster by the deadline will result in a mark penalty of 10%.
‘Fair Play’: It is expected that every member of each group will be proactive and will participate fully in meetings and the development of the coursework. If a member of your group is not attending meetings without a fair explanation, is producing substandard work, or is being confrontational, contact your workshop tutor immediately.

Peer marking: Students will evaluate the effort and contributions of their fellow group members. If it is found that a student has not made satisfactory contributions to their group, they may receive a lower mark for this piece of work, based on the discretion of the teaching team.

Further guidance and information can be found in the Course Handbook, or from your workshop tutor.

The poster is limited to a single PowerPoint slide and should be presented succinctly and professionally in an attractive style. Each presentation will last 10 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions from the rest of the workshop participants.

ted by the requirements and has enough material. Our group thought of Sony, Adidas & Nike but we do not want to impose restrictions and end up with an average presentation.
