1. Importance: Explain the importance of this article as it relates to your desired career (teacher, school counselor, etc.).

2. Personal: Provide a personal opinion about the findings of the study and how it will influence the way you carry out your work in your field (teaching, counseling, etc.). You should describe your personal reaction to the article. Specifically:

• Tell something about your teaching/counseling that is demonstrated in the article.

• Tell something about your teaching/counseling that is different than what the article says.

• Tell one question this article raised for you,

• Tell something new that you have learned from this article that you will implement in your classroom/career.

3. Implications for Future: This should include a summary statement of the current status of the topic and identification of what you conclude to be future needs for practice and research in the topic.

This assignment is worth100 points. It was originally scheduled to be a group activity in class. Due to NCATE work and other schedule changes, this will be an individual grade based on the following rubric.
