Order DescriptionChoose THREE primary sources from Nancy McLean’s book on the women’s movement (The American Women’s Movement 1945-2000) and use these as the foundation for analysis. The sources should be thematically, but not necessarily chronologically, related (i.e. something from the 1940s could be logically connected to something from the 1970s provided you are sensitive to contextual differences.) Those aiming to excel are encouraged to use a wider range of sources.
In addition, include 2-3 secondary sources to enhance your analysis.
The essay should focus on:
1) the continuing connection between social reform, women’s activism, and and women’s equality (civil rights movement particularly important but also the anti-war, the counter culture and New Left movements)
