ADR Practitioner Role-Play
This writing project is designed to get you to role-play an ADR participant (for example, as a mediator, arbitrator, or practicing attorney), someone who uses ADR methods to achieve client goals on a regular basis.

You can use whatever resources yo deem appropriate (with appropriate acknowledgment, such as by footnote or citation) Internet research research is to be properly acknowledged. Please note that interviews of practitioners are not excluded as resources, but must be the real point of this exercise is to get you to appreciate by whatever means the essential dynamics of certain ADR roles. Be sure to make useful citations to the coltri and Fisher texts.

Specifically, you are to tell us from the unique perspective of your chosen role.
How do ADR methods help others?
What education or certifications does your role typically require or encourage?
Tell us how ADR actually functions, from the perspective of your role. (This overlaps the first bullet-point above, to some extent)
The positive and negative aspects of ADR, as seen by you.
The personal skills, talents, and attributes you think are critical for an ADR practitioner.
Give us a very brief “horror story” and a “glory story” from your perspective (i.e., brief examples of the best and worst experiences with ADR).
The typical impact of ADR on a general practitioner’s practice.

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.
