The mid-term paper includes the following material: Kourouma’s novel Allah is Not Obliged, “Beast of No Nation”(Film) and the article “Representing Child Soldiers”.

For the mid-term paper develop and defend a thesis (main concept and your take on that topic) which is relevant to the novel and the film. It is up to each student to identity his/her own topic and thesis.

Format: Length 4-5 pages not including the title page or Works Cited page. Papers must be typed, double-¬spaced, in12-¬point font size, with1.25 inch margins, and uploaded on Blackboard. Papers must have a title and a title page. Late papers will not be accepted. Students must use Chicago author-¬date reference style.
