Locate three examples of ageism in society and describe these, with artifacts if available. You can find these examples in newspapers, magazines, radio and television, movies and everyday life situations. For each example:

1. Describe in detail what took place and why it is an example of ageism.
2. Identify the negative belief or assumption about aging and/or older people that your example reflects.
3. Explain why each example is ageist and suggest ways of avoiding these situations in the future.
