Watch ‘The Life and Crimes of Doris Payne’ and Review. Your review should do the following:
1) provide an overview of the movie, including where and when it occurred as well as its specific content and how that relates to African American Studies
2) discuss the movie in relation to at least two course readings. In other words, discuss how the ideas from at least two course readings appeared in, were developed or challenged by the event in question.
3) be properly cited and punctuated and relatively free of typos.

Grading:
I will be grading your paper based on the three criteria listed above.
3: provides a thorough explanation of what the movie was and how it relates to African American Studies; appropriately draws on class readings and discussions; properly cited and free of grammar or other mistakes.

Your paper should be between 350-500 words (approximately one and a half to two double-spaced pages), 12-point-font, 1-inch margins. Include a works cited page for any additional sources quoted. You must upload to Canvas as a Word attachment (.doc or .docx file).
