it’s about Steel and Cast iron have been traditionally used as the production connecting rod materials. In more recent years, however, other metallic alloys have been employed in sport/race car engines for example. Most recently, powder forged connecting rods have been developed through powder metallurgy to permit rod cap end splitting, this has also allowed different alloys (and blended alloys) to be used (including MMC alloys such as; AlSiC’ Aluminium Silicon Carbide). .. and please use CES software .
