Conduct research and write a paper on the management of a defense acquisition program.  The paper should provide an integrated discussion of:
a)    The program’s mission need, its major operational requirements, its acquisition category, and the office/agency that manages the program and its organizational structure/teams (not to exceed (NTE) 3 pages). Should address a majority of the objectives in Modules 1-5(Integrated Product Team Types(IPTT), Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), (DoD Acquisition Management Framework), (Acquisition Organizations).
b)    The program’s acquisition strategy and its progress through the phases and milestones of the defense acquisition framework.  Discuss its significant technical characteristics and risks and how they are being managed. Include a milestone or Gantt chart (NTE 3 pages). Should address a majority of the objectives in Module 4-8(DoD Acquisition Management Framework), Acquisition Organizations, Acquisition Strategy, Work Breakdown Structures, Risk Management.  Depending on the program, you might also need to address some of the objectives in Modules 14-19.
c)    The program’s budget and major contracts (using budget exhibits from the USD (Comptroller) web site) (NTE 2 pages). Should address a majority of the objectives in Modules 9-13(Procurement Process, Source Selection, Cost Estimation, Budget Formulation, Congressional Enectment.
d)    A summary of the program’s managerial issues and challenges (NTE 2 pages).
