a philosophy statement

Write a philosophy statement that sums up your beliefs about children, families, teaching and learning. How do you view yourself as an early childhood professional? Beliefs are clearly related to children ages (0-8) (use words like young children, the first years of life, early childhood) Identifies why early childhood is a special time of life. Mentions importance of cognitive, social, emotional, linguistic, physical development). Identifies importance of relationships and how they support/affect young children. Clearly identifies what early childhood education offer children (what kinds of experiences are important) Includes ideas about supporting diversity, including each child and involving families as partners. Describes how included experiences influence childrens development. Identifies importance of assessment. Describes beliefs about skills, knowledge and behaviors of early childhood professionals, how he/she will care for and teach and effects on children. Accurate comparison of ideas to a philosopher or theorist (Piaget, Erikson, Montessori ect) ideas must relate well and not contradict each other.
