Abstract (100 words)
Objective
Introduction (300 words) :
This should include an overview of the MA Residential objectives, the types of visits undertaken and the range of experiences the programme was designed to create. This should act as a context to the paper, telling the reader what is coming next.
Literature review:
This should only include academic literature, This is the opportunity to demonstrate your reading and show me the following:
1. The state of marketing education; that is what are the current issues being debated in literature as to what the education of marketing students requires and the form it should take. What is industry saying in terms of the new graduates they are employing, their skills for the business world? What should academics be teaching their students to make them ready for employment? (800 words)
2. This should then naturally lead you onto the way students might learn and the types of education they want, what are their learning styles. Specifically there should be a focus on experiential learning and reference to Kolb and Experiential Learning Theory. This is a natural progression from the first section where you identify how students can be equipped with the right skills and invariably, it is exposure to real time/life experiences. (700 words)
3. This should then be a natural link into how University education creates these real time experiences. This is through field trip education, by exposure to business in action. Here you should be discussing what is field trip education. Bear in mind that terms like ‘field trips’ and ‘executive education’ may be used synonymously and may mean the same thing as ‘residential education.’ But the key words relate to field trips.
