A Civil Action

The response paper must summarize the important points of the film, what you learned from it and what you think the film’s message is. Aside from the summary of the film, students should avoid stating the obvious in the response papers and demonstrate that they have critically thought about the film and its message

• An introduction paragraph that includes the name of the film you analyzed and identify the applicable sociological concepts and terms you saw expressed in the movie.
• In the body of your paper fully define and describe the sociological concepts first and then discuss how those concepts are relevant and expressed in the film. Specifically explain how and why this film illustrates those concepts and terms.
• Include brief references to the movie in order to support your assertions and use APA formatted citations where appropriate so that you are not accused of plagiarism.
• You will be graded on how well you interpret the sociological nature of the film and explain how the film reflects those sociological concepts.
• A conclusion paragraph where you summarize the main points you made in the body.
• Include a separate title page and a separate reference page with APA formatted references of (1) the movie; (2) your textbook; and (3) any other sources that you use to help write the paper.
