This assignment has two parts to it,; the first part addresses the passage of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) ACT), the second focus integrates the role of the nurse in improving the quality of life in implementing elements of the CARES ACT.

Please review the elements of the CARES ACT passed by Congress last week.  Identify two sections that are relevant to the health, safety, and/or quality of life to the LGBTQ population.  Explore how these elements affect the daily life of this population from a demographic, health focus, economic, and/or mental health perspective.  Once this need has been aligned with the CARES ACT and you feel the quality of life will be improved upon, be it for a short term, or perhaps initiate a long term goal, please integrate the second component of the assignment.

This second component focuses on the implementation of improving the quality of life, and this involves the role of the nurse.  Please remember the ANA Position Statement and previous policies that might help in how nurses can get successfully involved.
