Probably the Ottoman Empire

Vienna was sieged (but not taken) twice by the Turks. Once in 1529 and again in 1683. The Habsburg lost huge slates of territory to the exapanding Ottoman. They took over most of the Balkans from their rule. Louis XIV was not a bad foe either.
