This will be a 5 (app. 1500 words) page paper summarizing the ways in which the countries and cultures of Southeast Asia have changed from 1900 to 2015. Your paper will be marked according to the following criteria: Is your information correct (here you can refer to lectures and readings from the course, or extra readings you may have done on your own); how well organized is your essay (does it have a short introduction summarizing what you are going to argue, does the body contain what you said it would in your introduction, does it have a brief concluding paragraph noting your most important points?); do you articulate your ideas clearly; does your discussion/argument flow smoothly from one point to the next.
All references should be noted in text with the following style: (Zhang 2007, 29)
and a short bibliography should be attached after the last page.
