Option 1: Congress recently debated raising the federal minimum wage. Do some research on the facts surrounding this debate, and write 2-3 paragraphs on whether you believe federal minimum wage should be increased, taking into account the role of employment law in our country both at the federal and state level.

Option 2: We discussed a number of laws that exist to protect employees. Do you think that there are any gaps? What additional law(s) do we need, and why?

Order Description
In our last class, we discussed the Buffalo Creek Disaster and watched a video on the GM ignition switch recall. We discussed the role of administrative agencies, corporate law and structures, torts, and ethics. Identify a mass tort or large-scale harmful event that has occurred in the United States sometime in the past 100 years. Do some research to learn more about the event, and then write a brief essay on the roles administrative agencies, corporate law and structures, and/or torts played. Also discuss relevant ethical considerations for the individuals, companies, or agencies involved. While you do not have to provide formal citations, please copy and paste links at the end of your essay to any sources used to inform your work.
Points will be allocated as follows:
7.5 Points: Ethics Analysis
7.5 Points: Analysis of administrative agencies, corporate law and structures, and/or torts
5 Points: Professional writing. Writing should be well-structured and edited.
