Film Adaptation

The Plum in the Golden Vase I by David Tod RoyYou have been commissioned to create a film based on JPM. You have complete creative license in your adaptation, but you must reflect and interpretation of the original novel. You can set your film in the past, present or future, and adapt the original story accordingly. Your adaptation must be consistent with the original story, but also reflect your own unique interpretation of the material. In order to reflect your interpretation of the material, you will either need to footnote your film adaptation, or add a separate section of explanation in which you make references to the novel. You can write your adaptation as a screen play, in narrative format, or medium of your choice. You can address issues such as sets, costume design, film genre, audience to the degree that each relates to your own creative vision and your interpretation of the material.
