Once you have chosen a suitable article read it and write a response based on the following questions you are not limited to these ideas, but need to include them.
What is the subject of the article? What is the thesis or the main idea of the article? How does the article connect your story to the larger story of American history during the relevant time period? (Think about other topic, trends, events that are covered in class and your textbook) What did the article contribute to knowledge/understanding of the topic? Please note that you must choose an article, not a book review. Most journal articles will be between 20 and 45 pages. To receive points for this section you must attach a copy of the article you analyzed.
