One of the major issues dividing various church traditions and denominations is related to the so-called sacraments or ordinances. Why do you suppose this has been such a divisive issue? Is there a theological point behind, for example, the sacrament/ordinance of baptism? What is it? Why do you suppose Christians make such an issue of this? How does this relate to ones doctrine of salvation? Explain.
