Prepare and deliver a 5-minute oral presentation
outlining your suggested advertising brief, provide your notes and a brief reflection (of around 500 words) on your communication skills related to delivering presentations, active listening and providing constructive feedback to peers on opportunitiesforfuriher dev elopment.
You can negotiate to deliver an advertising brief for an organisation/objective of your OWN choice. If you prefer to select your OWN organisation and focus of an advertising brief you MUST negotiate this at least 1 week prior to deliv ery of the presentation. Or you can choose from 3 advertising objectives advised during the course deliv ery that must be delivered in the weeks shown below.
students are required to attend each session and to participate in the provision of constructiv e peer feedback.
Notes and reflections are submitted via learn online by Friday 6pm of the week they present in class Ail presentations must cover the following areas within the 5-minute timeframe:
1. Brief overview of your view of the organisation requiring the advertising brief and its place in society (1 minute or less)
2. What type of marketing roles do you anticipate being involved in advertising for this organisation and what type of skills and knowledge would be required? (1 minute to demonstrate critical thinking)
3. Outline your suggested advertising brief for this organisation using the template provided in Topic 6 Reading 27 Kennedy & Sharp, 2013, Chapter 10, p 352-356, justify each component (2 minutesto show reflection, creative thinking on how to best communicate the brief)
4. Conclusion: Final words on why your brief will be effective
There is no specified format for the deliv ery of presentations, butv isuals are required using Powerpoint slides or another technology (e.g.Prezi).
