Sexual Diversity Studies — Queer Geographies
Order Description
First, you should address your understanding of the text(s) by summarizing its/their arguments to the best of your abilities. Second, you should ask questions pertaining to any of the following issues. You could ask a question about a particularly obscure point in the readings, or you could ask questions that are critical of the particular perspective proposed in the text(s). You can write in first person. Please do a brief summary of both (2) articles, and then you may zero in on one of the articles in particular to ask thought-provoking questions. You may also draw some connections between both of the texts, if you deem it appropriate.
IMPORTANT!!: There is a link to one of the articles by Judith Halberstam embedded in these instructions. The link will direct you to the Google books version, however, you are ONLY required to read the first chapter of her book entitled “Queer Temporalities and Postmodern Geographies,” which starts on page 1 and ends on page 21. DO NOT READ ENTIRE BOOK! Here is the link: https://books.google.ca/books?id=EzYS_V6s1CAC&pg=PA1&source=gbs_toc_r&hl=en#v=onepage&q&f=false
