How do you do square root of 98 divided by square root of 18?

The answer is ##7/3##

Start off by finding the factors of the numbers to simplify the square roots. For example, ##18=9*2## so ##sqrt18=sqrt9 * sqrt2## but ##9=3*3## so ##sqrt18=sqrt3*sqrt3*sqrt2## or ##3*sqrt2## since ##sqrt3 * sqrt3= 3##. Do the same thing for 98 and you get something like this: ##(7*sqrt2)/(3*sqrt2)##. There is a ##sqrt2## in the numerator and the demoninator so they cancel, leaving ##7/3##.
