Beech Brook Beech Brook started in1852, with the founders aiming better the lives of vulnerable children through opening an orphanage. The journey towards realization of the agency started when Martha Washington and Dorcas Society established the Cleveland Orphan Asylum to cater for the needs of orphaned, vulnerable and destitute children (Beech Brook, 2013).
