6. Course textbooks are Law and Practice of International Finance, 2008, by Philip Wood; and The Law of Finance, 2013, by Alastair Hudson. They should be sited along with more books
7. The deadline is after 20 days. Quality is more important than time however I cannot pass the 20 day mark.

You should answer both questions 1 and 2 to complete this assessment.
Question 1:
After another late night in the office working on the initial public offering of shares in International Logistics plc (“IL”), Sam, a solicitor, manages to catch up with some friends for dinner. Knowing that Sam is a solicitor, his friends quiz him about what can be keeping him so busy. Sam refuses to provide any details of the transaction, but just as they are leaving the bar, he whispers to a close friend, Henry, that it might be a good time to invest in IL. Henry proceeds to buy shares in IL the very next day.
What criminal or civil offence(s) may Sam and Henry have committed, and what sanctions may they face? Explain your answer.
Question 2:
Discuss whether the Financial Conduct Authority should rely on its criminal or civil powers as effective enforcement tools.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:
The student must:

? Demonstrate clarity of expression, using appropriate terminology
