I need to write a statistical abstract paper but I am not sure how to set it up.
Can you please help me set up a hypothesis and the appropriate test for the data above and information given below?
Are we moving towards a more gender neutral status as it relates to wages between men and women? I would like to take the first five years 2004 to 2008 and compare the differences in wages between men and women. Then, take the second set of data 2009 to 2013 and compare the difference in wages between men and women. It is my belief that although women still tend to hit the glass ceiling, the trend is closing the gap on compensation discrimination and the second set (more recent data) will have a smaller difference than the first.
