Read the attached article Necessary Positions in Feminist Art: A Conversation by Andrea Bowers, Suzanne Lacy and Maria Elena Buszek. This article gives additional historical perspective and context to current practices and concerns in feminism and socially engaged art.
SELECT TWO OF SUSANS PUBLIC WORKS ( I will upload three work): name and describe the work; and discuss how these two works promoted an exchange of ideas, experiences and collaborations. What is the role of the artist in the artistic process? Who are her collaborators and to what extent does their participation and interaction determine the outcome of the project. Is public a qualifying description of place, ownership or access?

More specifically, why did you select these victims (e.g. fear for this group, shock by what you discovered in the readings, frustration with the lack of attention this victim group receives)?

You have two options for preparing your response. You can prepare a 6-8 slide informational PowerPoint presentation focusing on the victim group you choose (be sure to include a slide which explains why the victim group needs more attention) OR you can write a 1-3 (double spaced) response paper.

When completing the assignment:
•Cite at least three credible sources (you can use both textbooks for two of the sources)
•Provide a minimum of two statistics
•Be sure to note specifically why the selected group needs more attention
