You are required to write a report on the skills required by key governance roles relating to Project Management.
Part A
1. Find a minimum of five (5) different job advertisements for Project Managers from a variety of organisations and at least two different industries (e.g. engineering, construction, IT, science, pharmaceuticals, etc.). The advertisements must come from at least 2 different Australian job sources (e.g. seek.com.au, jobs.nsw.gov.au, recruitment agency web sites, Financial Review, The Australian, etc.).
2. Analyse the advertisements to determine the project management skills needed by prospective applications. Create a list of key PM skills required by Project Managers.
3. Evaluate the lists of skills (created in point 2) and briefly discuss the skills priorities that seem to be required for project managers from different disciplines. How are these similar? How are they different? For example, are they primarily technical, management or people focused (or perhaps a combination of these)? What specific insights or interpretations that you can draw from this cross-discipline review of desired PM skills?
