Three neoclassical criminology theories were discussed in the text: (1) rational choice; (2) deterrence; and (3) routine activities. Briefly explain the premise of each of these neoclassical theories. Evaluate each of these neoclassical perspectives on deviant behavior, and identify the theory that comes closest to describing an individual?s decision to participate in deviant acts. Explain why the selected theory is the most accurate when examining deviant behavior.
