Hello,
My name is Abdoulaye Ouattara. I am a U.S Citizen, and I am 28 years old. I am a full-time graduate student at University of Maryland, University College. I have been taking loans to pay my school, which I must pay back, once I complete my degree. I am currently unemployed, and I have a wife to support. I am working hard to maintain the GPA recommended for the Master Program. I have two classes remaining to obtain my MBA degree. I am currently enrolled in AMBA 660.
Talking about my academic goal, I transferred from Montgomery College to University of Maryland, University College in 2012. I received my bachelor degree in Finance and minor in Business Administration in June 2015, which was my first goal. My current goal is to finish my MBA degree this year, which is expected in September 2017. Also, I am planning to pursue my PHD in Business. I am currently applying to several universities in Maryland, since UMUC does not offer a PHD program in Business.
I am currently seeking a job and internships in fields of finance and business. I am still looking for jobs in government sector, private sector and international institutions; but my goal is to work for international institutions such as the World Bank, or the IMF. I also import and export goods in different country such as Ivory Coast and Union Emirates (Dubai).
I participated in many leadership roles in my community, lead people in my former job, collaborate works, helped young people making better choice in life. Skills that I have learned are project management, communication, marketing, retail management, and leadership/people management, and being fluent in other language.
I have little professional experience. In my last job, I was a part-timer shift supervisor at Rite Aid pharmacy from 2015 to 2017. I managed and collaborated with Associates. I performed the store inventory, and I served as point of contact in customer service litigation cases. During my undergrad degree, I had the chance to have an internship at A2F consulting. While working there, I conducted research to strengthen banking system in developing countries (Africa, Asia). I performed banking policy and Macroeconomic stability analysis. I collaborated on a research in developing countries to enhance microfinance.
I have always participated in community’s activities in many ways. I volunteer in my community, and I give donations to charity most of the time.
