Feeling overwhelmed with all the “–ism” and not-making-any-sense articles? Well, at least I felt like that when I first read them in my graduate years. However, they really do build your foundations whether you continue being a practitioner or add another role as an education researcher. Let’s discuss further the readings. There are two topics in this week’s discussion: Objectivism and Constructivism.

Your task is to decide which approach you AGREE and DISAGREE with most (i.e., which approach you think best represent your view of the way people learn and which doesn’t make sense to you) and create a thread to explain WHY you think that perspective is superior. Make sure to have a title of your post such as “Constructivism Accurately Reflects Reality” or “Objectivism Makes More Sense” or “Constructivism Doesn’t Make Sense”.
