Students may simply take one philosopher and discuss their philosophy in detail, or compare and contrast two philosophers. Students may also take a particular type of philosophy, i.e. (Ethics, Epistemology) and write about, however do not write about more than three different philosophers. I am looking for depth and understanding.

All essays should have at least 5 different sources for quotations, some of which must be from the philosopher’s main work. (Please note that there is a lot of published material on the internet, also if you use an online version of a philosophical text, i.e. Descartes Meditations, it should be considered a published work) I will only accept two internet “website sources”, i.e. philosophypages.com, internet encyclopaedia of philosophy, or sparknotes.com
