Using the organization that you were assigned in your groups, you are to complete an individual analytics readiness assessment and a strategic plan. This cumulative assignment will bring all facets of the curriculum into a specific approach for driving transformation through the use of analytics. Note that even though you have previously been working on these case studies in your groups, this assessment is an individual assignment.

The Analytics Readiness Assessment should contain a thorough review and assessment of the following important factors:

IT Readiness
Do you have the right technical team?
Do you have the right leadership in pace?
Does IT have the proper data governance practices in place?
Business Readiness
Have you identified your needs?
Do you have right analysts?
Do you know what’s already in place?
Is the business ready for analytics?
Technology Readiness
Have you identified the right tools and technology
Are infrastructure and security in place?
Do we have the right implementation partner identified?
Data Readiness
Are the source systems mature?
Do you have sufficient data coverage?
What are the data quality risks
Assessment and Deadline
Submit assignment via Canvas by 11:59 PM ET the day before the session.

Rubric
Organizational perspective – does the student understand the structure, decision processes, org model for analytics (20 points)
Depth of knowledge – have they done sufficient background assessment of expertise, specific tools/technology, data issues, etc. (25 points)
Risks and potential issues – do they demonstrate understanding of what could go wrong in each area? (25 points)
Synthesis – can they combine their assessments of each area into a compelling overall narrative (30 points)
