Collecting Qualitative Data, Analyzing Variables, and Computing the Center/Spread – Collect data from 10-20 people your work, school, neighborhood, family, or other group. Ask a qualitative question like, “What type of car do you drive to work?” or “Which toothpaste do you prefer?” Also ask 10-20 people a quantitative question like, “How many siblings do you have?” or “How many college classes have you taken?” Graph the qualitative data (dotplot, stemplot, histogram, frequency polygon, scatterplot, time series graph, pie graph, and Pareto chart), as appropriate and use Insert/Edit image to post the graph.
