In this paper, you will connect current events to the concepts we are learning here in class. Students should find a recent newspaper or magazine article (from a publication like Foreign Policy magazine, The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, BBC, The New York Times, etc) that discusses a current international challenge. Students should prepare a paper (no more than 10 pages, excluding a
title page and bibliography), 1 inch margins, Times New Roman 12 pt font, double- spaced) highlighting the following:
a) Historical background and overview of problem
b) The current status of the challenge/problem
c) Potential solutions for the problem (ie, how would you purport to fix the
issue?)
d) Reasons why the potential solution may/may not be feasible.
