The topic I chose to research is how gender roles affect elementary school children when it is taught in the hidden curriculum. I fee teaching gender roles are a bad thing because children shouldn’t regulate their behavior to feel like they “fit in” or are “normal”. This should be of interest to parents and people who are planning to be parent’s because they shouldn’t want their kids to be taught gender roles in schools. Parents or people planning to be parents should educate themselves on what is benign taught in classrooms and not let these socially constructed ideas be taught to young kids.
