When choosing a degree and debating between nursing or health care some may come up to some difficulties. At first glance these two may seem identical, but they are actually rather different.

Health care is business facing. It focuses on meeting different regulations and making the hospital financial situation better. It is a combination of IT, computer sicene and health care administration.

On the other hand, nursing is actually patien facing. It deals with patient safety and the quality of care they receive. The aim is to increase them both. Nuring also uses computer sicence and IT, but rather than administration, it deals purely with nursing.

Health care today works on introducing and maintaning electronic health records (EHRs). They analyze how these records impact the operation of the hospital on different levels: operationa, financial, administrative and so on.

Nursing, however, makes sure that these very same EHRs contain the needed data and inforation, which allows proper taking care of the patient.
