W4A4 (a)
Approach Document (Due Day 5)
Develop a plan to formulate your problem statement. Based on the problem you introduced in Discussion 1, describe how you will go about identifying the problem, narrowing it, and determining the impact. Begin to identify sources that you are going to use. Contact the librarian by email at uorlibrary@rockies.edu to make sure you have considered the optimal set of data sources. Indicate the librarian you emailed and what you learned from the librarian regarding how to find data to verify existence of the problem.
Similar to the Approach Document you developed in Week Two, the format for the assignment is equivalent to a recipe in a cookbook. A good recipe is one that anyone can read and replicate what you have done. List numerically, in a step-by-step manner, the actions you will take to identify information to discover and evidence the existence of a problem. Add to the list, how you will analyze, evaluate and synthesize the information to identify the problem, narrow it, and determine the impact. A companion flow chart or PowerPoint, or any combination thereof may help you to visualize the process. Full sentences are not necessary. Word count should not exceed 700 words.
The plan should not exceed 350-words.

Description: Develop a plan to formulate your problem statement. Based on the problem you introduced in Discussion 1, describe how you will go about identifying it, narrowing its focus, and determining its effect. Begin to identify sources that you will use. Contact the librarian to make sure you have considered the optimal set of data sources. Identify the librarian you spoke with, and specify what you learned regarding how to find data to verify existence of the problem. Similar to the Approach Document you developed in Week 2, the format for the assignment is equivalent to a recipe in a cookbook. A good recipe is one that anyone can read so one can replicate what you have done. List numerically, step-by-step, the actions you will take to discover and evidence the existence of a problem. Add how you will analyze, evaluate, and synthesize the information to identify the problem to the list. Narrow its focus, and determine its effect. Include a flowchart or PowerPoint, or combination thereof, used to visualize the process. Full sentences are not necessary. Word count should not exceed 700 words.
