CRITERION 1: Introduction (10 Marks) – Student explains the rationale for analysing the article
CRITERION 2: Critical Review of Article (60 Marks)
– Brief synopsis or summary of the article
– Key findings of the article & their contributions to Advanced OB
– Relationship between the key findings and the contents of Advanced OB module (plus other studies)
– Assessment of research method(s) used by the article’s authors & any practical implications
– Assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the article
(give reasons for views)
– Suitable academic literature supports analysis

CRITERION 3: Conclusion (10 Marks)
Student draws the main points of article and demonstrate how the article aid in the understanding of relevant aspects of Advanced OB.

Brief introduction of topic
View communication and language beyond being neutral means of transferring information, to consider the political aspects of how language shapes organisational realities and identities. As many contemporary organisations are characterised by an international workforce we will also discuss the practices and politics of organisations with employees of different linguistic backgrounds.
